ohhhh!!...that looks bad, man............(treble's and fingers don't mix!!!!!)

Recommended Posts

Well, today's trip got cut short to say the least!!!!  My pal and i went out to cape canaveral to do some surf fishing, but it didn't work out in his favor.  We had been wade fishing the coast for only about 15 min. when he hooked into something...... that something ended up being a very large sting ray (about 9-10#'s from my estimate)... It was really odd because the ray came up to the surface to feed on a mirr-o-lure. Any way, he was trying to get the hook out when this happened............

it ruined both our days, but his was much worse ;)

we got to the VA clinic (he's ex military) at about 12pm, and didn't leave until about 5 45pm. Its was quite an ordeal.

When we were both in high school, about 11 yrs ago, i did the same thing while fishing with him. I got the treble of the largest size yo-zuri stuck into my pointer as well.... The whole time he was laughing at me, and heckling me "oh, how could you do that you idiot!!!" He was also saying "just push it through yourself you pansi!!!"

........well needless to say i returned the favor today to him... after laughing endlessly at him i told him the same, "just push it through yourself you pansi!!!!"

well today he understood it..........he said "No freakin way man, you weren't lying.....theres no way im pushing this through myself!!!!"

11 yrs down the road, and i got my revenge.

ouch!  i had one from a pop-r once buried in the back of my shoulder.  it was caught up in some tall grass behind me about 15 feet or so, instead of walking back to free it up, i yanked it as hard as i could.  that thing came at me like a bullet!!  sleeveless shirt, i was screwed.  ended up having it cut out.  not fun.

That one is nasty!

I had a similar one last year in my thumb, worst part was the shot of novocaine, not to mention the 5 hour wait in emergency.

I had a treble hook on a crankbait go almost the whole way through my big toe. I knew some guys who had horror stories about getting hooks removed at hospitals so I got a pair of needlenose pliers, closed my eyes, and ripped it out. I couldn't walk right for a week.

I put one in the meat of my chin by my ankle. It was pooring rain and had to get out of the boat so I ripped it out without thinking. Alot of horrible aching but was fine.
