Try thowing a Jig into the wastepaper basket at 35 yards , sitting down in an office chair NOW THAT"S SOMETHING

Throw a frog over the top and a Slug-Go thru them.

Slug-Go will way outlast any style Senko type bait in the pads and catch just as many if not more fish as you can rig it to twitch on top.

Spro frog and soft plastics pitched around edges

Go Skinny Dippin... ;) :-X

Second choice would be a jig.

Useless in pads.

If you say so...

Listen to Pigsticker and Rondef.

Throw an unweighted pink or white trick worm on top and through the pads.  Rig with a 3/0 straight shank hook.

Fish on top of pads with frogs or anything Rage Tail.

KVD throws cranks in pads but he also removes rear hook from cranks.

Object is to make bait move on top of pads for reaction strikes.  If you are patient, you can flip and pitch into the pads.

If you are new to pads, use the trick worms or frogs.

Good luck.  ;)

Johnson Silver Minnow ¼ oz in the silver or gold color & be sure to add a trailer either plastic, pork, or a skirt.

Heddon Moss Boss in either 2 ½ ¼ oz or 3 3/8oz Chartreuse

In type of shallow water vegetation I always keep a back up rod rigged with a weightless Texas Rigged worm handy and if a bass blows up missing my spoon I immediately drop that rod on the deck and cast the worm to the exact spot of the blow up.

Another technique used for years is to simply work a Texas rigged worm either weightless or with a 1/32-1/16 oz weight on top like you would a frog or swim it slightly under the surface.

Yep,can't believe I left out the ol weedless spoon. This is an often overlooked and deadly lure in the pads. I like a Johnson silver minnow with a 3 or 4 inch grub trailer and the berkley weedless blade dancer.

Don't ever tell anyone about a ribbit or sizmic frog texas rigged either,it never works.Right Catt?

I grew up marsh fishing in southwest Louisiana where you learn to deal with lots of vegetation or you didn't fish.

When you are bringing a frog over the pads or dropping a jig or t-rig down it is all about hitting them on the head or a reaction strike. But then again I have not tried JJ's yet.

Ok

Might I suggest a Weed Demon?

Although I haven't heard much about them around here I really like them for "thick stuff"..Yeah they may look cheap but they do hook up well..And they stock 'em in Walmart so their easily attainable.

Only thing I do out of the box is sharpen the hooks and add a couple glass beads for noise.
