Hit the pond behind my house today

so after the last to times ive gone out on the lake with my buddie have yielded no fish, i was eager to catch some, and decided to hit up the pond behing my house.

i was out for about 1 1/2 hrs total, i was dead sticking a watermelon candy berkley powerbait 5" power shaky worm weighless, using a 3/0 worm hook, with my 6'6" MHF all star select / revo s combo, with berkley vanish #12

they are not huge but they are the biggest ive pulled out of the pond

Let me ask you, do you know the contours of your pond or are you basically just casting out blindly.

When I fish my pond here in my neighborhood, I either throw about along the lilly pads and grass just off the  bank or blindly cast out to work the bottom.

i make educated guesses but i dont know the contours, i too cast along the lilypads or make sure that  they fall in the retrive trayectory
