MY FIRST JIG FISH!

Featured Replies

It's been awhile since i've posted anything on here. but today i went fishing around 2 o'clock and i caught this lil guy on a jig my first cast in. I let it fall and sit for a few seconds, i started reeling it back towards me and i felt a thud, so i let it sit the pulled again and then the hook was set. at first i thought the jig was just rolling over debris but then it started fighting so i knew i had one and reeled it in and this is what was on the other end

I just wanna say thanks to everyone for posting helpful jig advice when i asked about it and for helping to make this moment possible :P

my first jig fish was a bluegill.

i don't know if that counts.... :(

Since it was a bluegill, it only counts if it was 2 pounds or more :)

Way to go sambro!

i think the jig was a booyah baby bug or somethin like that. I;m not really sure because its been sitting in my tackle box for awhile and i just decided to fish it today

It is tough to learn but jig fishing pays off pretty nicely once you start getting the hang of it.

Keep at it.

Cool! I love catching em using a new technique! ;D

I had to laugh when I read the title to your post.  I remember how excited I was when I caught my first fish on a jig.  Be careful now, jig fishing can be addictive.
