Hey Fishing Boy.

So from what I can understand from your query is this:

"Senkos, jigs and flukes are my favorite baits to use in the summer time in my pond.  But at certain times I don not know what to use because I feel if I put one down then the fish may start hitting it so do you think you have any tips for me, please?"

Tips?  Maybe a few.

Just keep throwing the Senko, weightless, Texas and Wacky rigged.

Fish the jig along with a trailer (pig) as you would your Senko.  You may also want to rip the jig a few times off the bottom.

As for the fluke, fish it like a dieing shad.

Other suggestions?  Yes.

1.  Throw an *** or Zoom worm on a shaky head or a Texas rig.

2.  Try topwaters early in the AM or late in the PM, like a Cavitron buzzbait.

3.  Throw out a Rat-L-Trap. Chrome with blue or black back.

4.  Got any Bandit 200s?  Give these a try. Shad patterns.

Just a few tips so you can expand your techniques and baits in your arsenal.

Please read the posts on this site about the different bait and techniques, etc.

Go to a few of your favorite Pro's web sites and check out their suggestions.

And please spell check your future posts.  :)

Merry Christmas!  ;)

should i just switch baits every hour or something intill i find what they want

In a pond you are not going to miss out that much by trying a different bait. Go ahead and change when you feel like it.If it does not work, change again. The fish will tell you what they want.

You can also Texas rig your senko and twitch it like the fluke.

whats the best way to rig the sinko texas rig or wacky style  should i switch baits like every hour

Fish your Senkos "wacky style" and watch your line.  :)

Switch baits based on how you are catching fish, not time.

Just go with your gut feelings.

And do yourself a favor and read, read and read some more the topics at the top of the page.  Great information and you will be throwing all types of baits and using different techniques very fast.

ok so you want to change baits every hour, but why.....

how about this write something down (fishing log)

write down the time you used it, wheather conditions, temp, sky conditions, what bait did you use, how did you use it, where did you use it (open water, structure, cover ) what did you catch. once you have all this done, before long you will have crated a pattern of what baits youhave the most success with an what times, as well as everything else that ties into catching fish, or just fishing :)

but then again like sam says:

we where all there young an eager, luckily we have Bass Resource

memo

I see it is not talked about much, but one of the things I have found for pond fishing that works great and is a lot of fun is fishing frogs.

Try a floating version like the Snagproof Tournament Frog or a buzzing frog like a Ribbit or Horny toad.  You might find this is a whole new world of bass fishing and very additive.

I suggest you use braided line and a long 7' MH rod for these baits.  You can throw them into places you would not even think of with your other lures.

Well, if you look back through the pages in this section, "frogs"

have been the #1 topic throughout the fall, swimbaits a close

second, crankbaits and jigs a distant tie for third.

Have been away from reading the posts for several months and just getting back.  Have not had a chance to get past most of the recent posts.  It is like starting all over again to get caught up... :)

for the last couple of weeks i've using flukes rigged weedless with moderate results.  i went to my pond yesterday afternoon 45 minutes later and catching only 1 bass i then put a senko on for the first time in 2 years and probably had a strike every 3 or 4 casts. a method i use sometimes is what i call "shore trolling", cast the senko(rigged weedless) and walk the bank slowly just letting the bait float behind you nothing fancy just basics.  only reason i gave up plastic worms is that i target peacocks not largemouths and peacocks don't hit them very often.

A modification of what I did when i was kid.  I rowed very slowly barely moving  along the dropoffs with a nightcrawler harness, was very effective.
