Couple good ones from Natchez,Ms

Fished a club tourney this weekend on a very unique little 260 acre lake with two deep creek channels and plenty flats and drop offs. Friday for practice the fishing Gods were on my side and I managed a 4.5,6.5 and a 7-10oz fish. The 4.5 was caught on a creek ledge in 18ft or so, the 6.5 came off a submerged brushpile in 25ft on a jig/paca craw(first jig fish) and the 7-10 came in 1ft of water on a black buzzbait right before dark. Fish seemed to be deep and shallow for the most part. Something changed the next two days for the tourney and i only manged 1 keeper in two days of fishing. 1.42lbs took the win on sunday...

I am aware of doing that but it was pretty much a laid back club deal nothing serious so we were there for fun also.

That fish swallowed a shoe!

Yeah this fish looked like a spawner. I'm curious to find out what it was feeding on. I did not see shad the whole weekend so I'm guessing Bluegill.

that is just flat out awesome. Who cares about the tournament, great bass

The lake in Natchez State Park.

Yeah probably blue gill...but that is sick!! Did you let it go? Either way, job well done!

Wondering same thing, did last fish make it back to the lake?

Anyway nice catches, those are some pigs.

Last fish is getting mounted as it was my PB to date. I will not mount another one unless it's 10 or over and will more than likley go with a replica next time. This is my first mount so I wanted to keep the real thing on this one. This lake has a slot limit of 18-22 inches. This fish measured 23 1/2 inches. The slot limit is obviously working which also played part in my decision.
