I've been using a standard katsu 5/0 EWG for texas rigging.Want something a little bigger.Any ideas??

I personally like a 3/0 for a 5". I don't think I would like anything bigger than a 5/0 for a 7". That's just me though...

I use a 5/0 gammy EWG. The shorter the hook, the better action the senko will have.

I use the 11/0 for 7-12" worms, have also used the 7/0 for 7" worms.  Great hooks w/ a very sharp point.  It bit expensive & you get only I think 3.

I use the weedless hooks and so far the 3/0 has worked fine.

I also have used the 4/0 and 5/0 straight shank hooks and fished them weedless on the worm.

Experiment and let us know what you find out this winter, spring and summer.

Should be interesting report to read.

I use the Gammakatsu G-Mag on the ultra rare occasion I throw a 7" senko. For all other big worms I use the Owner 7/0 and 11/0.

Thats one reason why I asked.I was considering a g-mag but have never seen one of the hooks personally,just online. Was thinking the g-mag may work for zoom magnum flukes also.

its a good hook. i use them on the big senko just because it is such a fat bait. I dont feel that the throat on the owners is deep enough. Plus ive got them all over the place since they are the hook that comes with mission fish.

I little tip from someone who makes big plastics. You can use a smaller hook, like the 5/0, just skin hook the stick bait. Your hookup ration will improve rather than trying to set the hook through all that plastic. Still weedless.

I use a 6/0 or 7/0 gamakatsu EWG Monster.    You need that big hook to get enough "bite" in the fish's mouth.
