Where would be your dream place to go fish for a week, if you could just wave a magic wand and be there?  Also, what type of fishing would it be?

It would be bass fishing at lake guntersville or lake eufala, since i live in Washington and i dream about fishing some of those southern lakes.

Give me Guntersville or the Mississippi River I love that place. Kinda grew up fishing that river and it suits my style and it never gets old

I guess my "Dream Trip"  would be peacock bass fishing in Central/South America.  Man, those things can really slam your baits!!

I have read about El Salto in Mexico, and I'm in Arizona.  It might be a fun road trip for lunkers.

I have checked into it, got the video and a brochure. I've done a little research and some guys out of Texas are the best...fly directly to the base camp, no portage.  But it's about $4000 each plus round trip airfare to Miami and that doesn't include any new gear you may want to buy!

I think I'd wave my wand and make it summertime here! Why leave Canada when some of the greatest bass fishing is so close to home! Literally, I live like a block from Lake Erie..

It's been thirty years since I've fished in Canada and you are right, you don't need anything but a couple degrees. Certainly a sportsman's paradise. You're a lucky fellow to recognize and utilize all the opportunities that are right there in your backyard.

Musky are a few hours north from here and haven't had enough chances to fish them but I have caught 3 or 4 small ones. My dad got a 50" out of Lake Erie last year, didn't even have the camera with us.

I'll be going to college in "musky heaven" in September so I figure I will have a lot more opportunity to fish them. It's truly a multi-species country! Panfish, pike, musky, bass, walleye, carp, trout - you name it! The last couple of years i have been trying to be versatile and learn to catch all of these species. So far the toughest for me is steelhead!

Big Bass Rich, good luck trying to fish and keep the grades up.  I sure do struggle with it.  I do really well in school between mid November through the first of March.  The rest of the time I just sit in class, not really paying attention, and watch the clock and can't wait for class to get over so I can go fishing.  I am usually out there until dark and by the time I get home I am too tired to study.  I then say to myself that I can't be doing this, and then I go out and do the same thing the next day..lol.  I also find myself reading Bass magazines and books instead of my Accounting and Finance textbooks.  I would have to say my major is Bass Fishing with a minor in Accounting and Finance. ;D ;D

Honestly, just take me back to that piece of water where I learned how to swim, fish, sail, row a boat, ice skate and skip a rock on as a kid. Memories!

Fisher of Men...I agree 100%. To me that would be a trip of a life time. The first time I ever saw that top water action, I realized I have never really been top water fishing...

I can certainly understand your love for fishing and the school thing.  However, you need to keep your grades up so you are not fishing for food in the future.  When you have to fish for food, then it becomes a chore and no fun anymore.  Go to school, study hard and make fishing your reward to yourself for studying hard and getting good grades. IE lookat it like you deserve to fish after a good day at school and getting your homework done.
