I was taught a cool trick i thought id share with ya'll

When you get a lure stuck in a log or hard surface try sliding a 1OZ bell weight down the line. Do this by attaching the bell weight to a paperclip or a Swivle than hold your pole up as high as you can while it slides down the line and plunks your lure loose.

This got me thinking about what other tricks are out there... Share if ya got em'

I use a 1oz. bottom bouncer and snap swivel. Works 4 me.

Best money i've ever spent.  I did spend the extra $3 to get the nifty little line wind-up feature for people with midget fingers  

I put a 1.5 oz knocker w/chains on 80# power pro spooled up on an old reel and rod handle. Works great and you just hop it a couple of times and reel it in!

My dad uses one of them...the problem I have is that I fish deep a lot....and hanging a crank in 20 feet of water, and having a 12' pole.....you get my concept? ;D

But for fishing in the river man nothing could work better than a modified extendable golf ball retriever for 3$ at wally world.

Just a plain ol sparkplug, slip the line inside the element whack it with your plieres, slide it down the line. bounce it a couple of times and your free. I do plan to upgrade to a 1oz.sinker and swivel,but the sparkplug does work

I like the one in the pic from BPS.. It works. It will save you big bucks , pays for itself after 1 or 2 lures.

I've never tried the sinker method. I have 2 methods... Pull hard or cut the line hahaha bait monkey tells me to just cut the line I deserve a better lure anyway. HAHAHA ;D ;D ;D ;D

Actuley I know a guy who did just that with a snorkle in summer he had a bucket at the end of the day although they were all rusted

I wasn't kidding. Completely.

I snorkel in my home lake all the time and always find lures hung in anchor chains, pier posts, trees etc. Plus I can find which docks or boats are holding the bass. Getting them to bite is another story.
