KaRu Vibrashocks- color selection???
If you do any night or early morning fishing be sure and get a blue, black or one of the other dark colors. These things are awsome in the dark. I like the 1/2 oz., they are easier to fish deep.

Chatterbait/swim jigs
I really like the Vibrashock from KaRu lures. It is made with a football jig and a split ring between the lip and the jig. The lip hits the head on each side and it will rattle your teeth. I fish the black and blue with a Manns Mosquito hawk trailer at night or early morning/stained water. In clear water or high pressure situations the Boo-yah might be better.

Which of these hosts is the most entertaining??
I voted for Ike just because I can't stand Zona or Charlie Moore.

Acadia Sports?
I don't know about the reels, but the rods are a heck of a deal for the money.

Dumb Purchases
Mine is a little different but plenty stupid. I had never used a computer untill about six months ago, being a hardheadrd ol fart. Anyway, I bought two BPS Extreme rods off Ebay for about $20.00. I thought I had made a heck of a deal untill My daughter pointed out they had about 6" broke off and retipped. I didn't read the discription part.

Chatterbaits
My number one night time bait in summer. I use the vibrashock too because I had the lip pull off a couple of chatterbaits. One other thing about the vibrashoch, it has a football head jig and the blade is supposed to contact the jig and create noise.

Mud Bugs: What Depth?
I used to catch a lot of fish on Mudbugs..I don't know why I quit fishing them, I still have a few left. I would like to find some more of the 1/4 oz ones. I don't think they dive very deep but really can't remember.

Walk the dog topwater baits
Well, the question was "What is the absolute best time?" IMO When the shad are spawning.
-
Snaged / Stuck Lures
Just a plain ol sparkplug, slip the line inside the element whack it with your plieres, slide it down the line. bounce it a couple of times and your free. I do plan to upgrade to a 1oz.sinker and swivel, but the sparkplug does work

Walk the dog topwater baits
The absolute best time is in the spring when the shad are spawning. That usually occurs in April here. You can see the shad going up and down the bank early in the morning. If you can't get bit on a topwater then you will never get bit.

age
I have an Abu-Garcia Royal that I bought about 1980. Still use it for topwater baits.

Now that its over wasnt the chatterbait craze fun!
I haven't caught a lot of fish on a chatterbait in the daytime, but caught quite a few at night. I had a couple of them break when they were hung up, the blade pulled off. I ordered some of the vibrashocks and just wore them out in our night time tournaments. I caught two good keepers before daylight in our club tournament last month. I am fishing a black vibrashock with a black Mann's mosquito hawk trailer.Fishing bluff banks' just throw them out and retreive as slow as possible.

Where is the next world record bass going to come from?
OK Dude, you were just haveing some fun with us allthe time. Right??

What lures to get started with?
If I wasjust starting out I would keep it as simple as possible. Small crankbaits, rattletraps, and spinnerbaits can all be just cast out and reeled in and will catch fish. Probably the first thing I would try would be a 1/4 oz. or smaller Roadrunneer.

Tonights late night snack is??
I am looking at a spam sandwich and half a can of cranberry sauce. Well it IS Christmas. ;D

Ceramic fitting fell out of the lead eye, the eye not damaged.
One way the insert gets knocked out, when you are hung up and trying to break the line, the hook comes loose and the weight is just the right size to fit inside the guide and knock the ceramic out. I have done this several times. It is really no problem to replace if you can find the right size tip-top.

Tackle Everyone Should Have!?
Hi Baron, you are just a frog nut. ;D pawpaw
-
Sensitivity????
One other thing that adds to the sensitivity is the lure/weight you are using. Brass is more sensitive than lead and tungsten is more sensitive than brass.

Retying lure
I fish crankbaits on 12lb. Big Game. Very seldom have to retie. If I catch a big fish or several smaller fish I will, but most of the time just check it once in a while.

Best magazine now?
I have been takeing Bassmaster for about 20 years, it sure aint what it used to be. I have never seen the FLW magazine but I think I will try to find a copy. Haven't seen Bassin in several years, it allways struck me as just a little bit shady, just like North American Fishing Club. Bass Times is pretty good but it's articles read a lot like adds.It also has a lot of enviromental stuff that I should be interested in but am really not.

Discontinued Lures
Wish I could find some 1/4 oz. Mud Bugs. Still got a good many Screamer worms.

Welcome Outdoor Channel!
There are a few fishing shows on Friday. Other than that nothing but hunting, panning for gold, things like that. Hope they change soon.
