tackleunderground is the best place to learn techniques on making anything from crankbaits, to soft plastics.  There are several companies that have a great supply of components.  Lurecraft, Stamina, Jann's Netcraft, Barlows, and Mudhole to name a few.  Good luck, but I need to warn you.   It is very addicting

It's true!  It's very addictive.  I have the stuff now to start pouring my own lures, and it's very fun!  It takes a steady hand.   ;D

Making your own lures and building your rods can be very fun and rewarding.

Actually, I looked at the BassLureReviews site, and that raised a question. Does "Dave" EVER meet a product he DOESN'T like?

I note, too, that some of the products reviewed are manufactured by site sponsors and that few, if any, products received less than a 5 Star (out of a possible 5) rating.

Just wondering how impartiality can exist in such an environment.

Jann's Netcraft, Stamina and Barlow's are 3 of the places I do business with for bait building supplies and  highly reccomend them. As for bait and rodbuilding the previous link to tackelunderground will give you enough information to to keep you busy for weeks.

Say, is anyone on here doing any custom spinnerbaits. I've got a couple different configurations that I'd like to order if I could. Maybe it would end up being the beginnings of a little side business for you. Please let me know.

I've got one he custom made for me as a web promo when he first started out and it is a great bait.  I do know some guys that have ordered from him and have heard nothing but good about the baits and the service.  I do need to order a few, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
