I have caught plenty of bass on $6.00 reel's and $8.00 rod's. Can You say "Durango combo"? I can. I can also say they suck but they will catch some fish on a budget.

It's Winter house rage. Calm down Ohio. We all know that. Ohio will thaw out sooner or later and you can get out there fishing again. I'm going now and I'm going to have fun catching or not.

SOUNDS LIKE A SEVERE CASE OF "FISHING POX" TO ME. IT AFFECTS PEOPLE DIFFERENTLY. ME, I WALK AROUND THE HOUSE WITH MY EYES GLAZED OVER AND ARRANGE AND REARRANGE MY TACKLE BOXES AND MAKE SEVERAL TRIPS TO BPS AND GANDER MOUNTAIN.

That and teaching people how to fish.

That and spending time with friends out on the water.

Very well put. The day I quit having fun bass fishing and its starts to feel like a job is the day I sell all my equipment, find me a cane pole and tube of crickets and just sit on a creek bank somewhere and enjoy the solitude.

Fishing is a state of mind.

When I worked a very stressful (dangerous) job it was a way to get away and relax. Now I approach it in more of a zin way. I fish therefore I am.
