I have a pond that needs some type of cover in it.  Their is nothing in it to protect the bait fish.  Does anyone have suggestions on what I can use.  Here is a list that I have come up with so far.

1.)  Brush tops

2.)  Cedar tree top

3.)  tree that can be laid down half way in the water

I sure could use all the suggestions I get.  Thanks

This is the primetime to look for old Christmas trees people have thrown out, tie a cinder block; or in my case a piston head from a MAC truck ; to em and toss em around vital areas like spawining coves, drop-offs, and points. Also be sure to mark them so you know where they are.

This is going to sound strange but...put down a couple plastic lawn chairs. You know the kind that you can adjust the foot and head rest. It has the plastic tubing most people use them to sun tan on. #1 reason it will not rot #2 it will not scum up #3 you can set it on the side and position it in weird irregular shapes #4 If you set it on the side it is hard to see with a depth finder.

Also it is hard to hang a bait on it and baitfish love it.

Don't forget pallets, you can A-frame 'em and sink 'em.

Another idea is to take 3 old tires, stand them up and make a triangle. Wire them together and drill some small holes in them to let the air out, no matter which way they hit bottom you have automatic cover.
