First for me!

Featured Replies

I had posted earlier about how to fish after some severe storms. Well, it was a successful day on the lake! I caught two bass, one 3 lb largemouth and 2 lb smallmouth, both were caught with a crankbait. Which was a first for me. I always used soft baits in the past, but reading about using crankbaits here have tried them from time to time.

I used the information from the articles and posts and feel that it greatly helped me on my quest! Now just hope I can get the photo to show up! LOL!

Thanks again to everyone here!firstcrankbaitbass1.jpg

Now turn around and run that guy out of your spot. ;D  He's clearly violated the giving someone some space rule.

I would have, but.........................................................that is my father-in-law! He kinda help me get the boat and I am usually with him. However, he was digging for his crankbait after he saw me catch mine!  ;D

You are going to find that the more you use a crankbait that there is a ton of situations where there isn't a better bait to use. There is a time and place for most lures but there is no better lure for most conditions than a crankbait if used correctly.

that is a pretty and healthy fish!  hope you stick with the cranks.

and now were going to see if chris will tell us about the correct ways to use a crankbait?  Chris your tips have helped me in the past and i cant help but be curious to your methods!  please tell us! im sure southern want to hear too so he can get more of those beauties in the boat.
