Got one word for ya.

Rapala.

The original floating Rapala was, is, and will continue to be one the best jerkbaits at any price.

who would have guessed that Muddy could type faster than me?

No doubt it is a great jerkbait, however anything short of spinning tackle isn't going to cast them either as the 11 is 3/16oz and the 13 is 1/4oz.

I maybe should have been more specific, I would like to use these jerkbaits in shallow, stained water around cover and want them to be able to be casted with light/medium bait casting gear.  Preferablly around the 3/8oz-1/2oz area.

Thanks.

Steve

Floater: Rapala Original

Suspend: Lucky Craft Pointer 78sp or 100sp

Floater: Original Floater by Rapala, it has so many great colors and you know it will preform well.

Suspending: Lucky Craft Pointer and Rapala X rap, again both have great colors and u know they will work.

If you want a good floating jerkbait, get some Bomber Long A's.

4 1/2" long, 1/2 oz. casts like a rocket. Dives 2'-3'.

Falcon

As already stated, Rapala Original Floater.

The countdown will not suspend.  Once you stop reeling it will continue to fall.

Can't say enough about the original rapala. It is a go to for me in the spring.

If you are on a budget but want an excellent jerk, Bomber Long As are great.  There are floating and suspending models.  I really like the Tim Horton models.  They look great and have good hooks.  Nice actions, too.
