***CAST convention-report back (Vegas pics)***

Well, I'm home. :) Back on the board that is!

What a great week we had in Vegas.

We had lots of great discussion regarding the future of CAST for kids and about how we can all help each other learn from each other by sharing ideas and resources.

My compliments to Jim Owens for running a convention that noone minded being at. Not easy to do. I was not bored for a single second. The relaxed atmosphere and general positivity of being around such a class of people just wouldn't allow it.

I met lots of fantastic folks and look forward to getting to know everyone much better in the future. Truly a great group of people.

Couple highlights for the public.

*Clay Dyer made a presentation specifically for the event and it's a message we all need to hear, I'll post a link as soon as permission is granted

* Skeeter has donated a boat to CAST for kids. How awesome is that?

* expansion in the east is inevitable. We're here and we aren't leaving. :)

* The web site has been redone, many thanks to our fearless leader, Glenn. Go check out his great work.

Again, a special thanks to Jim Owens and Art Pasley for making CAST what it is today and for it will be tomorrow. To all previous, present and future sponsors and partners, I assure you, your time, money and effort are going to one of the best causes I've ever been a part of.

To all our hosts this year. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!! You folks truly are the heart and soul of what we do I am excited to pass on all I have learned this week. We are in for some great days together.

Thanks for reading and thanks to all who make it a point to show their support.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

The hassles of being in the hall of fame is needing an extra sim card just for all the women's number's you have to collect,LMAO. ( Art Pasley and some great folks from the bureau of reclamation)

What it's about

OK, from the plane, this is my real stomping grounds,...all due respect to my Bassy friends but,..This is Greenwich Bay Bluefish and Striper HEAVEN!! See where it says "My Hood",...now in my videos, that's where the view you see comes from like in the "4th of july" video and the "hot summer fun video", it is right there, looking out of Greenwich Bay.

and LBH marks the fish although I have had more than one day where everything blue was boiling. Literally somthing you have to experience to believe. So loud, you have to shout.

"The gut" holds THE BEST steamer clams on our planet.

Looks like you had an awesome trip!

Good stuff LBH. I think it is commendable that you donate all that time to the kids, a well deserved Kudos to you. :)

GOOD JOB RUSS,  :)

Thanks for devoting your time to the kids! There's lots of ways you could spend it, but few that would be more valuable.

BTW: I am running out now in 18 degree weather to fish all of your honey holes. LOL Sadly my 'Misty Harbor' aluminum is not much of an ice breaker.  ;)

Keep on Keeping on!

Ronnie

KUDOS for all your work with CAST...VERY WORTHWHILE

BTW, it's good to have you back....that SMH guy couldn't shine your shoes  ;D ;D
