Did you guys see this excerpt on the classic? Anyone notice that when he was running to go pick up dad in his saltwater boat,....he had rods on the deck!?! lol

The rods didn't look out of place to me but then I just a Cajun and that's where your rods should be just in case you're stranded.

True, very true.

I guess in different circumstances, rods really can be a tool.  Even if just to fish somthing out of the water.

And if anything more happens, you have a means to get food.

Man I think that was one of the most heroic ations I have seen. Hackney was truley humble about it.

I didn't see the story, but fishing equipment is a good survival tool. i know a lot of sets of survival gear given to the military include fishing line and hooks.

Well, I've heard Hurricanes tend to scatter the fish. I guess trolling would be the best technique in locating fish.
