Where to fish...

Featured Replies

Hi guys, i'm going to be headed to Radnor PA for a few days next month. I'm staying at Eastern University. I had thought there was only two ponds there but after looking up the campus on google earth I now know there are four. I only have seen pond 1 and 3. Pond 1 is relatively clear and has some lily pads on top. Pond 3 has dark stagnant water with heavy algae growth (like duckweed). There is thick vegetation all around and I have seen many snakes and frogs there. I've never fished either before. What are yall's predictions?Do you think there will be a lot of bass in these ponds?

the only way to find out is to fish them.

I think that there will be more fish in pond one because there is usualy more oqygen in less algi riden scommy water.

when i get there, i know i can't go wrong with senkos...i'm trying not to bring my huge tackle box down (carrying plenty of other stuff) what other lures would you guys recommend?

Maybe some frog type baits (horny toads, bronze eyes, etc...) would work well. When I fish from the banks I usually keep a bunch of hooks in my license holder and a couple bags of soft plastics in my pocket. Usually a bag of senkos, a bag of flukes, and some sort of creaturey type of bait. Works well for me.

I know Eastern is a Christian college but I'd say forget the fishing and go out partying  ;D.

But if I had to pick, I would go with #1.  It looks like you might get some good action along the banks.
