What do you gather from this article?

I was reading an article on another website concerning the Carolina Rig . Inserted is an excerpt taken from it:

NEVER DROPSHOT

I'm telling you, never dropshot the BIG 7" lizard on heavy gear so it plays a deadly game of peek-a-boo with bass in the tops of new vegetation in spring. Dropshotting lizards just won't work. And if you do get it to work, never tell anybody. They won't believe you.

Never ever dropshot the BABY 4" lizard in rock or gravel beds for smallmouth. After all, lizards are for largemouth, not smallmouth. Right? Don't let the dropshot weight rap against hard bottom, don't mend slack line so the lizard glides and darts down to bottom, never pull it back up slowly so the line barely tightens up - and wait for a bite. You just won't get one.

It sounds to me there is some scarcasm in this excerpt. Anyone agree. Almost like they are actually hinting that you SHOULD  do just the opposite of whats written. Any thoughts?

Yes.  Definite sarcasm.

The article sounds like he his giving a secret away while applying sarcasim to spice it up.

Tom Redington just did an article for the July issue "Lake Fork Area News Paper" that covered the same.

Matt

I go to a website called Texas Fishing Forum from time to time for local information.  I almost bet that it came from there.  That is like the running joke on that site and it is sarcasm.  Kind of makes it tough though to figure out unless they lay it on heavy like that guy.

Yes, it's sarcasm, they're telling the reader that they believe those lures and techniques are very effective.

Most definatly sarcasm. I have fished lizards and other big baits that are not considered finesse type baits and caught fish on the drop shot.
