i was just wonderin if anybody else did this but me n my buddy will get sum1 to drop us off about 4 miles upstream on the creek by his house we will take a backpack full of bait an we use a cpl of little microspin rods an reels an walk the creek find little deep spots an fish em, the creek aint very big but we usually catch about 80 bass altogether in a day mostly sm but a few lm i usually a little baby bomber crankbait a he uses a little rapala jointed crank, unless it is muddy then we use us sum nightcrawlers which work quite well now im not sayin sayin we r catchin any record breakers but we do catch lot jus wonderin if anybody eles does this

I occasionally fish Toro Creek below Toledo Bend Reservoir  

Me and my dad float the Buffalo River here in TN once or twice a year

If you are going to wade the creek you will find that you will catch more fish if you wade upstream.

Grew up doing this, for the past few years have only gone a few times a year till this year and some friends and I started our own tourny trail called the Dinkmasters where we fish local rivers and creeks.

Me and Captain do it all the time. The creek we fish is unaccesible to bass boats. Just yesterday we did a 2 mile trip. But 2 miles will be a long day for us because there are fish everywhere and it takes a while to fish out some of the bigger holes.

I've been hitting the streams a bunch this summer. I'll head upstream using 4" senkos and catch LM, smallies, spots, and goggle eye.

When I head back downstream I'll toss a small jig and specifically target smallies in or near moving water. It's a blast and you catch a ton of fish.  

Great fun, especially in the heat of summer.

Yup me and moby do this all the time it is fun and it is a lot cooler than bein on a boat all day but I have a tendency to fall in almost every time we go, I guess that just means I need to do it more often ;D

I'm going to be doing this next year. My son should be old enough than. There are some beautiful holes up through Catt Creek. But I need a Seneca fishing license to do it.

My wife and I did some rafting down the stretch that I plan to walk next year and man were there some nice holes. Thankfully I didn't bring my pole or I would have been pulling over every 100 yards.

Yeah what triton21 said, if your gonna wade it you wanna go downstream and wade upstream.  If you wade downsteam, you muck up all the water.  

This kind of fishing is made for a flyrod.

There is nothing like well tied, properly presented fly for fooling fish.

Once you find the pattern they are hitting, catching dozens of fish is not uncommon.

I wade several miles yearly fishing for SM bass usually catching several fish I didnt expect.  Cool swift water can deliver unexpected stringers of several species.  My favorite bait for this is a 3inch white grubtail jig on a 1/8ounce or smaller jighead and ultralight spinning tackle.  Target the eddies behind cover.

well we walk downstream but the creek we fish is pretty shallow this time of year so where the big holes that hold most of the sm there are pretty much pits that are surrounded by large boulder so we get up ontop of the boulders a throw some small cranks or throw a freefalling soft plastic the creek we fish is called shortcreek and if ya aint from this area theres no way you've heard of it

I walk Big swan creek around Hohenwald Tn, the water is cool and I catch lots of SM. I use small inline spinners or a rebel crawfish.  Ive done pretty well even caught a 3 lb smallie out of there in about 10 in of water.

This type of minimalist fishing is great. You don't need to get carried away with lots of rods and tech toys. Just an UL rod/reel setup, a hand full of smaller lures, and your set for a great day. Most days I'll only need an original floating rapala in a smallish size, or if fly fishing, a size 6 olive wooly bugger on a 6 wt outfit

I think that I enjoy wading more than I do boat fishing.  It sure is a lot less work and its fun to just hang out in the water and take a deep breathe and notice all the little things about being outdoors.   The most important part is those killer Smallies brother!  I have a sweet light spinning rig and I have more luck with plastics than anything else.  I also just got a float tube so I think that will be fun to get to some deeper spots.
