With the new year, and with tournament seasons kicking off, what are new methods/tactics is everyone going to try this year? I will start it off. I am going to learn to fish the dropshot this year God Bless!

Gonna give a chatterbait a shot with a swimbait as the trailer.   Seem to me, the cat is out of the bag since Stren on Falcon this year.

i've got a lot of stuff i'm going to try to focus on improving this year, like using a baitcast setup properly, for one. to add to that; jigs, spinnerbaits, cranks, buzzbaits, topwaters, etc... the list goes on. seems like all i threw last year was stickbaits. it'll be good to get proficient at all types of baits so that i'm not stuck saying "well, they're not biting a senko, time to go home..."

i'll be reading the BR articles religously this year.

Im going to work on my deep cranking and C- rigging. 8-)

improvin on search baits and aggresive tackle  really want to hit up the water alot more and maybe even fish for largemouths alittle bit more  

SWIMBAITS There is a lot of huge bass in the lake I fish that have probably never seen a swimbait.

This is the 27th year in a row that I'm going to learn to fish crankbaits. ;D

Swim baits, deep cranking, structure fishing using electronics.

I'm going with the drop shots and the deep diving suspending jerk bait. Though the idea of big swim baits doesn't sound bad...

Hmmm I dont know... Maybe try to catch a bass on the one type of bait I have never caught a bass with... a jig.

Yo masshole, I made that same promise to myself last january first.

Lasted all the way to january second.

The trinitrotoluene rig has baffled me for years.  2008 will see me master it.
