Southern boys suffer during the winter too

Featured Replies

Don't you northerners know that its dark when we get off of work during the winter. We can't even go out for a couple hours before dinner, gotta wait for the weekend. Now thats true punishment.

Never heard of night fishing?  ::)

That is why you get to work a couple hours early, so that you can leave work a couple hours early. ;)

Too cold at night - sorta - HArder to catch em in the cold (I think)

Let me guess. You lose some of your tan in winter also. ;D

At least you northern guys have weather that is consistent, Cold and miserable,LOL ;D. Down here in Texas the weather is OUT OF CONTROL, I mean yesterday it was 74 degrees and as I write this it is 24 degrees  with the wind making it below 10 :o. That's cold for a Texas boy

Lately, it has been too cold to fish barefoot :D

Awwww, you poor guys.  I would like to see what you would do if you had to cut through several feet of ice to be able to get the outboard in the water. ;D

Send me your address I will mail you a sympathy card

We do the same thing you northern guys do, we wouldn't do it, LOL ;D

I would rather fish only on the weekends than not fish at all for months.

Well the farmer's tan fades a little bit, but it's still there.  ;)

Ya, go ahead and just whip me and then throw salt on the wound. ;D And besides it is too hard to cast and hit that little hole! :'( :'(

Must be just terrible to have to wear shoes and long pants to go fishing.

AMEN, brother!

Maybe all us northern should move south. No, cause then we'd have to ;listen to the southern boys sayin' the waters too crowded. :'(

Funny looking bass!

It was -20 (that's temp NOT wind chill) at sun-up, now, about noon it's already a toasty 2 above.

I put another log on the fire and turned on the TV only to see that some of our southern brothers were getting snow and freezing rain (snicker).

I must say it was quite entertaining watching you southern folks driving.  Y'all look like figure skaters out there(snicker, snicker).

A bit of advise from one who drives on this stuff almost 6 months a year..., ease off the gas, and don't slam on the brakes.

Oh yeah..., thanks for the show ;D ;D ;D

In the North we still have ice fishing in the winter. It is amusing watching people in the south drive in the snow. :)

There are far too many bass in these lakes. No room for our boats, much less "Ya'll Nawtherners" boats too. LOL      :P

b      ;)

So much for buying from ***! ;) ;) ;)

We have a natural lake up here that is 3000 acres and over 2/3 of that is not productive. Imagine 150 boat tourny on there. Looks like walmart on Christmas eve.

There is 6" of snow on the ground and more arriving every second. The only thing you guys would catch here might be a penguin. :D :D :D
