Zona (great ambassador for the sport)

Featured Replies

I usually DVR the espn shows on the weekend and watch them throughout the week.  Early this week, my brother (who does not fish) stopped by and I was watching the WGFS where Zona is fishing with Jeff Kreit on Lake Falcon.  We could not stop laughing when Zona caught that big fish and took his shirt off.  My brother pulls that kind of crap all the time on the golf course and he just thought that Zona was the coolest guy by the way he acts.  So to make a long story short, my brother is going fishing with me this weekend, for the first time in years and he has called me at least twice a day all excited about it.  I personally think that Mark Zona is great for bass fishing and if he can get somebody like my brother excited about fishing, he is doing a great job.

Zona is riot.  Some of his lines are hilarious.  He did an episode of Beat Charlie Moore, where they just go back and forth that had me busting stitches.

The dude cracks me up. Some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth is just freaky. Manbearpig. He enjoys life and it shows. He would be a blast to go fishing with, whether the bite was on or not.

During his "day on the lake" feature,he hooked the reporter! that is something I would probaby do.

Z is the man!

And Manbearpig is from a Southpark episode, featuring Al Gore  ;)

Zona is without a doubt, great for the sport and hilarious!  I watch a ton of fishing shows on DVR (with the exception of only Charlie Moore) but Zona's are the only ones I ever "protect" from being deleted.

You have to talk about his #1 hit on the Billboard chart

'Lil' Baby Cub'!!!

Lil baby cub go nighty nighty---little baby cub go sleepy dreamy.

He even had Hackney scratchin' his head about that one.

That cracks me up!

"Schram! I'm hooked! "  :D :D :D :D :D :D

i must be alone in this crowd then.. he isnt bad but i dunno i just dont get into him like you guys i suppose. i do like the espn fishing though its a good show

Of all the fishing "gurus" out there, I like Zona the best.  He's rarely preachy (Jimmy Houston) or condescending (Bill Dance) and generally acts like a regular dude.  He knows he's no pro, and truly seems to enjoy his time on the water.  I would fish with him any day!

(not to say I wouldn't fish with Houston or Dance, either...)

Love ZONA!  If I had the choice to fish with any pro or celebrity fisherman, Zona would be my pick without a doubt.

Long Live Littlebabycub!!!!!!!!

-and the schwam episode! hilarious!

"That catfish looked like my son's little baby cow cow!"  Zone fishing with Big Cat Patterson and Bill Dance.

Zona has grown on me, and I find his show excellent now. He took a little getting used to on the shows he was on before WG.

Zona is as entertaining as it gets. I try to catch his show every Saturday.

Zona has the only fishing show that my mom likes!!!!!

It was great when he did the T.O. impression on the lake Falcon show ;D ;D

i think Zona has one of the three best shows on air. WGFS , Bass Poros , and i always will like Bill Dance Outdoors.

1instripes, I almost fell out of my chair when i seen the avatar! LOL

hope yall catch some fish. and hopefully he will get hooked
