How would you fish this place?

Featured Replies

ok so its about 50 acres its 6 feet deep at most and very little cover other than the cat-tails that line the bank there is a few small areas with some gravel banks and very little timber but its just small stuff. grass has started to grow and is now touching the surface(barely). there are very little shad a good population of bluegill. water-temp now is low 80's and cant seem to find the fish at all i've caught my personal best a 10.22lb outta here and a few others breaking 5 lb's so i know they are in here.

I might be ijnclied to "stich" a 10-12" worm very slowly. Other than that, TNT. just kidding.

The question you ask, while holding a double-digit bass, my friend, is  a question already answered.........

Nice bass and nice honey hole! :)

Wo your lucky to have such a honey hole. I would probably fish just as i would on any lake. But judging by the bass your holding id stick with what your using. I would just use a search bait like my personal favorite a colorado willow leaf blade combo spinner bait to find em, the use a soft plastic to pick off the less active fish. and its been mentioned already, when the suns high like that id be fishing in any sort of shadows

I would use soft plastics as a search bait to find the fish. They will find cover/structure no matter how sparse it is.

How would you fish this place?

At night starting with buzz baits then switching to plastics ;)

It's only six feet deep and it's summer (The location is in Texas I assume). "The night time is the right time."

I think scuba gear trying to catch them with bare hands would be a good time.

Seriously though, that is a beautiful little place you've got there.
