bass resource total members/ active members

Featured Replies

This is stricktly out of curiousity, but does anyone know how many people are members to BR? They seem to sell ad space to quite a few huge fishing companies whitch I'm sure don't buy space for the hell of it.

Another question, I'm sure there are a TON of members, but what percentage are active with at least .25 posts a day? Anyone know? If anyone can tame my curious mind, I would appreciate it!

not sure on the numbers, but from a companies perspective it makes sense to advertise on a forum.  close to 100% of people on this forum buy what they sell.

22719 and growing.  ;)  You can watch us grow at the bottom of the main forum page (its right above the list of members on line at that time). If you go to the top of the page and click on the Members icon, you can do filters to see who's been on the longest, most posts, etc.

22,719 and growing is a lot of people. You won't find a better bass forum anywhere else. Thanks moderators and sponsors for keeping the site going ;)

The quality of the fisherman on this board & their willingness to openly share their hard earned knowledge makes these forums The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide. ;) The first time I stumbled upon this site it impressed me and it continued to do so.

Dwight-

I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a rookie to fishing, and actually still haven't caught a fish, but I find this forum VERY helpful. I stumbled acrossed it, and have been very impressed. Take care.

If your really bored & really, really want to know how many active members are on here just click on the Members tab & count away. To the right of each name shows how many times they've posted. There are a lot of people who have never posted before.

I honestly buy ad space  just for the helluvit !! I just felt sorry for Glenn

Post count isn't everything.

There are a lot of people who log on often, but simply choose not to post for one reason or another. I would still consider these active members.

Oh I agree. I was just saying that he could check out those who actively participate in the forum. I'm only talking about those with a post count of 0.  Until they post something I would say they haven't actively participated yet in the forum.  Looking & not posting isn't really any different then not being a member & looking IMHO. Except you get to see the pictures :)

Being that we have upwards of 300,000 visits per month (yes, visits, not hits), there's much, MUCH more people viewing the pages than posting.  The number of members registered is but a small fraction of the overall number of people here every day.

And Bobby - thanks for your charity.  ;)

This will give you an idea, I own a small lure company, have a website, and a member posted a question with a link to my website and I had 150 hits on one day, off of one link in one posting. I average about 50 unique visitors a day, in the 5 or so days the post was active I had like 400 or something (I have a very good hit counter) So bass resource is powerful for all advertisers. (I will be one someday, but I wouldn't be able to keep up right now if I was)

I just joined after being absent from the forums for a good 2-3 years, just don't have the time like I used to have. Looking forward to getting back on a bit more. Created a new account cause I got deleted. Which was well worth it as I didn't visit for 2 years.

So you can just imagine the traffic a very reasonably priced banner ad would get you ;):)
