hyperdermic needle and soft plastics?

i was thinking has anyone had any experiences with using a hyperdermic needle with their soft plastics for injecting anything from scents to air pockets ? i was thinking of trying to inject air to make certain worms float and so forth well let me know if im crazy

Well if you are on this board you may be crazy. God knows I am..LOL. Truthfully though, may or may not make a difference but I would say, give it a shot. You never know until you do and could be interesting to see how it works out.

I would think that air would leak out but scent is a great idea.

air pockets doesnt work. plastic is too hard. scents might, but then youll just be sealing it inside plastic, so not sure what good that would do

It works with real worms so it might work with non salt plastic baits to get them to float up better off the bottom if carolina rigged

yeah i would think that air pockets wouldn't work because the air would just come out the same way it went in.

I work in the plastics industry. If you could get ahold of some expanded foam pellets, and inject them with a scent..it might work.

Shoot, I may give it a try myself.

there's something that people who pour soft plastics use to make them float.  It's a glass or fiberglass or something, I haven't tried it because of it's potentially hazardous to your health.  I think it's fiberglass bubbles or something... look on the tacklemaking forum or T.U.
