Fishing Flukes

I fish the original Slug-Go, weightless, in and around any type of

cover. The technique is to twitch the lure so it acts like a feeding

minnow. NEVER set the hook until you feel the weight of the

fish, then set it hard!

White ICE! That's all I have to say....this is how I rig mine.....2-3foot leader on a two way swivel and a 4/0 hook weightless especially post spawn omg I kill em on the shoreline dude like if I don't catch at least 20 in an hour something is wrong.

Give me your address and a money order will be in the mail if you never mention that color again....

I actually found some that are completely clear and wow... ;)  Has to be something with the light refraction... :-/

I also found clear baby brush hogs and even those things work wonders in super-clear water.

I actually tried some White Ice flukes this weekend can came up with nothing.  I rigged it weightless with a 4/0 red hook.  I thought the red hook might help, but, I guess not.  I also tried the Mardis Gras color fluke, and didn't get anything either.  They look real good in the water though, and I think when the water temp warms they'll be killer.

i personally like to fish mine on a mh spinning Carrott with  10 pound IZORLINE xxx and a swivel on a 3/0 wide gap hook... The swivel gives it a bit of weight and allows it to sink a bit faster.. it eliminates line twist considerably and gives a nice side- to- side dating action

I just got my first pack of zoom flukes, and I'm ready to test them out soon! This thread has given me a bunch of tips to catch the big one! Thanks guys.

Threw a white fluke, deadstick while I talked to the missus and a 12 lb catfish crushed it.  Good Times!

how far up did you attach the swivel?

also, how many of you use an attractant on your flukes?

For flukes and hollow belly swimbaits, rub the hook shank and belly of the lure with Magastrike.  Helps with easier hooksets, and is a good scent.

Well, I have several different jig tailers that I have soaked

in JJ's Magic and re-bagged. I like the stuff and it seems

effective, but it's messy.

For other trailers and everything else, MegaStrike.
