This maybe be a somewhat "dumb" question.. but i always see the berkley beast and such beaver baits but have no idea how to they are used. I know they are used for jig trailers sometimes but other than that how do you use it? Colors? I actually have some packs of the Beast but havent used em.  :-?

You can rig them in all the rigging methods for soft plastics.

Lift them, then let them fall.  Let it sit for a bit, then repeat. Give the rod a twitch now and then to give it a bit of action. T Rigged.

Thanks alot, thats what i figured just t-rigged... any colors work better than others? or just like normal plastics. And better situations to fish them then others? any help is appreciated

i fish them around cover mostly, where youd toss in a jig.

i go with same colors i use for other plastics: green pumpkin, watermelon, black

Tx rigged, flipped, pitched, jig trailer, on a shakey head.  These are pretty versatile baits.  I like the greens and browns.

Penetration isn't bad either 8-)

sometimes i t-rig a beast weightless and use it as a top water bait. u really can fish these things anywhere in the water column!
