conditions-Cloudy air temp 55,water temp probably high 30's water stained to murky.Got hardbody jerkbait, spinnerbait, swimbait

jig,and senko tied on am i missing anything and what would you fish?

You forgot to pack Vienna sausages and crackers. >:(

When our water temp is that cold I do good with a suspending jerk baits or an unpegged, texas rigged tube dragged slowly across the bottom.

Down here in TN the ice melted off our lakes last week. I fished today for 3 hours - the surface water temp in the first lake was 48deg, temp was 46deg in the second lake. I fished a 4" Senko, a Zoom Fat Albert grub, a lipless crank, and a Rapala Husky Jerk.

Nada, zip, nothing. Fishing dropped off here in November when water temps went below 50. Perhaps it will pick back up when the temps get above 50 ::) Lots of winter left though and I expect water temps will go back down before they get back to 50...

I went fishing two weeks ago at the savanna river, ga. The conditions of the water were similar except for the water temp was 45 degrees. I was out trying out my new depth finder before going to work. But I have found that using a crank bait works well for me. Where were you fishing at?

wish wisconsin had some heat! all the lakes are frozen solid, tons of ice, we can probably already drive on them now...

Good Luck, wish I was going with you.

im just happy for u that you can go fishing.

and again everyones so depressed about..... the waters to cold.

at least u have water. ohio has ice. the second it thaws i expect to see the shores packed with people with cabin fever!

I wouldn't change what you have tied on. I would just make sure that you position yourself for success. It is very easy to waste time on a cold day for naught.Find the baitfish. Don't even bother picking up a rod until you find them.

I think you would be quite fortunate to catch something this time of year in any body of water. I tried fishing not but a week ago and was completely "skunked." Let us know if you caught anything.
