$41.50 here in California. Raised just a few cents from last year

Hate to tell ya folks, but there is a benefit (believe it or not) to getting old! I always buy my "Sporting" (hunting & fishing combo) license. This costs a resident here in MA $49.00/yr.. Turning 65, my new "license" for this year was only $25.00! And when I'm 70, it's free. Eat your hearts out guys! ;D

BTW - This "license" is actually a tax - the word license is suppose to make you feel better about giving more of your hard earned money to the government - pure & simple!

In PA it's $32.40 with a trout stamp, and I believe it is extra to fish lake Erie

I look at it this way....Just for me and my wife to go to the movies it's close to $30-$40 every time we go.If i had to pay that for a fishing license for one price the whole year of fishing,who can really complain? 

MI is still $15 for the year.....Even with our "bass season" that's still really cheap for me.I rather pay $15 for the whole year fishing than go to the movies and spend more than that in one day.

Connecticut was nice enough to more then double the fishing license this year... was only 20 bucks last year and this year its 50 bucks with the salt water license.. It wouldnt bother me as much if the money actually went back into stocking and the fishery but it goes into the states general fund...

Dang $29 is steep.

In NC it's $15, not bad.

Yeah I think NC has one of the lowest prices for fishing license.

Those are pretty steep. Individual angler licenses in MN have been $14-17 for as long as I can remember.

I bought mine last week for $17 bucks with a trout stamp for an extra $10.
