Hey guys just looking for the basics of tactics you use during the fall. From what I read shallow flats and back bays with fast moving lures. What are you thoughts?

I haven't been fishing for very long but i think that the fish go back into shallower water, after baitfish. Using the same tactics u did in spring is what i am doing.

In early fall I throw mostly crainkbaits and topwaters. The lakes I fish get drawn down, which means most of the cover like brush is above water. I fish mostly rocky banks and flats. In late fall, (November-December) I inch a jig across the bottom, which usually results in some very nice fish.

Typicaly fishing your feeder creeks is what many do. The shad push up in the feeder creeks resulting in a mass feeding frenzy

yea follow the creeks useing your sonar and look for the pods of bait,the bass are close by.I throw topwater when thier feeding up top and small cranks and shakeyheads otherwise..good fishing

Run all the way into the backs of the creeks and work your way out until you find the shad. In early fall they may not be all the way back yet but thats most likely where they are headed.

As for baits, spinnerbait, trap, shallow crank, mid crank, jig, hornet fluke and a pop-r.

They have shad in Ontario?

If not, fish the weedlines. First the inside edge, then outside edge as days get colder and shorter.
