I am starting to get depressed as well. I need to take up a winter sport like Snowboarding. We just had our first sites on snow this year.

I think i am going to have to get a new longsleeve t-shirt to make it through this winter.  ;D  Supposed to be a high of 65* today.....burrrr!

First, get boat ready for next year.

Service rods and reels and set up the rods by type and length.

Take an inventory of line, baits, and tackle and get Christmas list ready.

File all of the articles pulled out of your magazines and file them in your library.

Read, read and read.  View your DVDs and videos. Study maps. And picture that five-pounder jumping as it approaches the boat.

And by the way, we have the hot side of Lake Anna to fish if we want. Air temperature can be in the 30's and the water temperature will be in the 60's. 

If there is a radioactive leak from the nuclear plant on the lake we look for Godzilla.

You must have some kind of fishing in the winter?  I know there's at least one river in that state, LOL.  I hit Lake Ontario tribs for trout all winter long.  Its cold, but its a blast, and easy to do.

I know what you mean. Last year was the latest I ever went fishing up here (Dec 12th). I've been waking up in the morning with temps below freezing lately. I think the hard water will be coming much earlier this year.

Once it starts snowing, I am going to start fIce-fishing for panfish. Sadly I probably won't go again for Bass.
