We all know its the fishing pen!! I mean, regular rods are over-rated and I don't have the time to use them! With the fish pen I can be ready to fish at a moments notice!

My wife got me the Chuck Woolery moto lure sometime back. She saw it on an infomercial and knew I just had to have it.

Thanks honey... :-X

Her heart was in the right place.

I think it would be more fisherman knowledge in general. So much information is available on everything via Internet. Today's fisherman has a gigantic advantage over the past. It seems more anglers are willing to share tips , techniques, and strategies than they would have 5, 10, or 20 years ago. I don't necessarily think one thing has changed the sport, but i think fishermen have changed dramatically.

I thought of anyone one when someone mentioned Google Earth and GPS. My phone - I use it to keep logs of fish, plot good fishing areas, photograph fish and structure areas... Really anything you can think of to log your trips, it will do.

probably side imaging if that counts.

not only does it count, but i am hoping that side imaging gives me a leg up on the competition this year for the King of the Glades series. it is mainly canal fishing in the glades, but i am certain there are rocks, humps, cars and anything else that will hold fish that  will show up on the screen.

Make sure you post some screen shots.  I'm really curious to see what all is out there in some of those canals.

bocabasser, if you have the Humminbird SI, try the red/green SI color to help you find the soft/hard bottom transition areas. Great tool to quickly find those transition areas.

Roger, good point. I forgot about the Minn Kota i-pilot. That would be my second choice after SI.
