Hello all, I am a student at Illinois State University. I am relatively new to fishing compared to most people as I have only been seriously fishing for around 4 years. I found this site while searching reviews for Daiwa Fuego reels. I am not sure how often I will be on being as how I moderate another site and am in charge of running tournaments on that site and also visit another forum as well, in addition to school work and of course fishing. But I will be on learning stuff and hopefully you can learn a thing or two from me as well. I hope to eventually work for the DNR in Fish Biology and use that to my advantage and fish tournaments eventually. I mainly fish for bass, but sometimes I will fish for panfish, namely crappie, and also catfish and walleye at times as well. I am also hoping to do some more musky fishing as well. I recently set my personal best for Largemouth Bass with a fish that was 23" long, 15" girth, and probly weighing somewhere between 6.5-7lbs on a Yo-Zuri rattlebait. My favorite reel company is Quantum and I love my Tour Edition baitcaster. I also am a fan of Abu Garcia as well. See you guys on the boards

Down here I normally fish ponds here in town and I will sometimes head out of town and fish Evergreen Lake, Lake Bloomington, and Clinton Lake. I am originally from the Quad Cities area so back there I fish the Rock River, Hennepin Canal, and Snakeden Hollow. I also fish a lot of farm ponds in the area as well.

Hello and welcome to the boards and nice to see someone else from Illinois joining the boards. I see we have something in common as far as Quantum being our favorite reel brand. I don't have the Tour Edition but do have a Energy PT and Accurist PT baitcasters. I also have the Catalyst PTI-A,Kinetic PTI-B and a older Quantum Incyte and love them.
