Co-Angler Tackle Box/bag

Featured Replies

Hey guys, what have you found that works best for carrying your tackle as a co-angler? Any tips or suggestions appreciated.

Tight lines

I use a bag so I can hold the strap while on plane.  Too bad boaters I fish with never have room in their boat storage for me.   Sometimes I even have trouble stuffing a sweatshirt in there.

Work something out with the boat owner. Find out how much room is available and pack accordingly. Check how many rods he would be comfortable with you bringing and go from there. Most guys have way too much gear and in a pinch, the nicer ones will let you use some of theirs. Just ask first!

Man, sounds like there are some selfish people out there! I always do all i can to make my fishing partners feel comfortable and equal to me in the boat! I go out of my way to ensure a good trip for both of us.

Look at the Cabela's Advanced Anglers series tackle bags.

Flambeau AZ8

I use the AZ4 most of the time.  Holds plenty of stuff for decent fishing.  The Flambeau bags are really well made.  I'm much happier with their bags than I am with the Plano bags I have.  They just feel a little bit more "tougher."

When someone fishes with me, they are free to use all of my gear, including baits.

If they want to bring their own, that's fine too.

My feeling is that the "host'' should always treat his company as guests, going out of his way to accomodate them.

Otherwise, why invite them?
