Hello from Alabama

Featured Replies

I'm new to this web site and new to bass fishing, but not new to fishing. I have this soft spot for wading on the flats as the sun comes up. The quiet calm water and the solitude for me is something I can't get anywhere else. Chasing the bay slam on the saltwater flats has been my passion for twenty plus years. Four years ago I left my hunting grounds. To be honest I never had any urge to fish freshwater but the need to fish is to strong and I need to get some line wet before I go mad. So I will give it a try, I only hope I can get the same rush as my reds and snook. I think most of my gear is to big so it sounds like a little retooling is in the near future. I have been told there is some good fishing in Alabama, we will soon see.

thanks for the warm welcome. i think this freshwater/bass fishing is going to be an interesting learning curve. i am kind of use to free lining hand picked shrimp. i read about this kind of rig and this kind of lure and say to myself . i am thinking this is going to be another big money pit for my wife to yell at me about. i think i need a second job.

Alabama has some of the best fishing in the world!

Welcome to the board!
