4 rod/reel setups,4 baits/lures and an unknown lake

Featured Replies

I know this sort of thing has been covered a BUNCH of times.

If any of you all were to fish an unknown lake, without any electronic aid(fishfinder,GPS) and you had 4 rod/reel combos and only 1 choice of bait for each rod/reel,what baits would you all choose, and what color...AND why would you choose these particular baits?

Jig Rod - 7'2" MH Cumara / Curado E7 - Green Pumpkin Jig/ Paca Chuck

Topwater - 6'6" Loomis MBR 763c / Curado E7 - Sammy 100 American Shad

Carolina Rig - 7" Falcon Cara Lizard Dragger/ Curado E7 - Brush Hog Green Pumpkin

Crankin Rod - 7'6" Loomis 843/ Curado E5 - Rapala DT 10 Shad

Chose those colors cause I hope its a nice clean lake... ;D

1.  Spinning rig: Fat Ika or Senko, watermelon with black flakes

2.  Baitcaster:  XCalibur Xr50, Silver Blue, orange belly

3.  BC:  1/2 oz Terminator Spinnerbait, white with double willow blades

4.  BC:   1/2 oz jig, black with blue trailer

8-)

I know this sort of thing has been covered a BUNCH of times.

Then why bring it up again???

1.  Spinning: Senko. Colors would be Gold, Black, Clear.

2.  Baitcasting: Roboworm Sour Puss.  Aaron's Magic color.  I would flip and pitch this bait in the shallows.

3.  Spinning: Spot Remover with a green pumpkin head. Worm would be a Roboworm Zipper Shakin' 5" worm.  the color would Aaron's Magic.

4.  Baitcasting: Bill Lewis Rattle Trap 1/2 oz.  Color would be Tequila Sunrise.

I would mainly use these baits in these shallows because without a GPS it would be hard to locate any structure deep.  If I did have to fish deep though I would cover the deep water with the rattle trap.
