correct way to fasten a buzzbait

Featured Replies

is there a right and wrong way to tie your line to a buzzbait?  i recently purchased a white buzzbait as well as a black buzzbait.  i was going to use it the next time out.

when it comes to tying your line onto that "bent angle bar", is there a right way to tie it so that it swims right side up?  im not sure if im wording this correctly but.........

lets just forget that question.......how do you tie your line onto a buzzbait?

Palomar knot is good.

The knot needs to be where the semi-circle is located ;)

Palomar definitely, just remember to leave the loop big enough to go around the entire bait.

when tying onto that loop, does it matter if the blade is on top or on bottom?

No, it will right side up when cast  ;)

Sound like you might be a bit confused. Follow the wire out from the head of the bait and tie to the first semi loop. Doesn't matter where blade is. When you cast and retrieve the bait it will figure out for itself where the blade needs to be.

The Blade is above the hook, rumbling across the surface of the water, causing all the commotion. The hook faces up and rides just below the surface. Your line will be tied to the bait, in-line with the body and hook, below the blade.

Buzzbaits are awesome! Once you throw em out a few times, you'll see how they work. Run them fast, run them slow, run them any time of the day too.
