This northern lake is clear and  approx. 2000 acres with a max depth of 16'.  There are several breaks from 4' to 10' and 10' to 16' with a river and creek feed on the west and east ends.  Some gravel exists on one large point.  Just thinking the smallies may enjoy something different.

Yes, gobie style baits will work on inland lakes with no gobie populations.

My best technique is to rig them on a jig head and fish them along the bottom, it really resembles a darter or sculpin, or any small bait fish for that matter. I have also found that a larger gobie like Micro Munch Tackle's d.s. gobie works a little better than a smaller one like a Poor Boys, the smaller ones are more suited for a drop shot application.

Another trick, I do use plain single tail grubs alot. Try that on a drop shot, great change up for smallies in clear water.

YES....JUST MAKE SURE YOU MATCH THE COLOR OF THE OTHER BAIT FISH IN THE AREA.

Yes they work, and just wait and keep looking for those nice GULP GOBIES that are soon to be on the market.

Yep, I throw them here in MO.  We dont have any gobies but we do have sculpines.  They are kinda alike.  I've caught a few fish off them this year.
