A little not used method for smallies.

Featured Replies

A few of us guys on the Upper Potomac in MD and Susquehanna in the Harrisburg PA area used to up our size on summer smallies by throwing a 6" lizard at times. Rarely have I heard of anyone whom threw 6" lizards for smallies. It was a good tactic on the grass beds. I always threw a green pumpkin one with the very end of the tail dipped in chartruese " Spike It " but, my buddy swore by the " Junebug colored one. We rigged them on #8 test, 1/32oz Gremlin bull shot and a 3/0 skin hooked hook. If you are having those 50 fish days where they are all small 10-13 inchers and you want to up your size, it seems this works at times.
