Featured Replies

Will be going to Bull Shoalls lake in early October. Any tips on this great fishery would be appreciated. Thanks! Crowcommander

Bull Shoals can be VERY challenging. I suggest hiring my guide, Tim "Hot Dawg" Curtis.

I live close to bull shoals and it can be a challenging lake.  If I was fishing it in october I would probably throw a crankbait or a spinnerbait if there is any wind. Also, I would throw a topwater some. If it happens to be calm I would probably throw jigs. I know that the pb&j color works good for smallies. Lastly if it is not to cool yet you might try throwing a single spin or jigs after dark. Good luck.

Just do what RW said.  I asked about Norfork (BS's sister lake), and he suggested a guide.  Well this year we hired one for a day.  I learned more about that lake than I ever would  have fishing it alone.
