Strike King® Shadalicious Swimbait

Stick with Basstrix if you can find them. If you must use the SKs go with OWNER Beast 6/0 1/4oz hook (or 8/0 if >6"). It has a screw for the head with a weighted hook. The Beast is by far the best hook I have found for paddletail swimbaits.

6/0 for what size SK? A 6/0 should do the trick for the 4.5" baits. Certainly not the 3.5" baits.

Use the 4/0 hook

4/0 for 3.5 and 6/0 for 4.5, correct? That's what I've been using. I use the Owner Phantom hooks... nice hooks.

I use the 6/0 hook for 6" swimbaits (basstrix) anything smaller I would opt for the 4/0.  The Beast hooks are great, they have an EWG that is ideal for paddletails. I hope this helps. If you want a picture let me know.

For some reason my BPS doesn't carry them. Need to find a tackle shop that does..

Gander Mountain carries the Owner Beast hooks.

I'll call ahead of time. There's one about 10 miles away. I'd like to try the "Beast" hooks. I hear good stuff about 'em..

Thanks for the tip!
