I just picked this book up the other day, and it's really really informative.  I've only read the first few chapters, but I've already learned a bunch about smallie behavior and seasonal locations.  It reads like a textbook, so it's not the easiest reading, but I definitely recommend it.  It goes through seasonal behavior on rivers, natural lakes, reservoirs, etc.  If you're like me, the water in your area is frozen, so this is a good way to pass the time

I really like this well illustrated, modern, hardback book. Great photos and illustrations. A very usdful book to me.

FYI -  This one is supposed to be very good from what I hear.  Plan on reading it soon.  It focuses on smallie fishing from kayak...but it does cover a lot general smallie info like habitat, strategy, etc.

I agree that the largemouth book is MUCH, MUCH better than the smallie book.
