St Clair Smallies

Featured Replies

If you guys were to pick a couple colors to throw cranks at these guys what would it be?

I'm headed up there this spring for some smallie action and starting to get everything lined out.

By far the best color crank to thow in the spring is firetiger.  I also like pearl mellon in the xr50 lipless works very well. Blue and sliver work great to but eyes and muskie like that color as well.  Also if you get a chance hit the Nautical Mile BP on 9 mile and pick up some Wayne Carpenter tubes especaily the St. Clair craw.  I got most of my fish on that tube this year.  But he has a ton that work great. If you are going to fish the lake in the spring let me know I can take you out if you would like.  If you have a boat then hit the mile roads in about 8 to 10 fow.  Be prepaired for any weather because it can change real quick on LSC.
