What length and action rod should i get for topwaters like spooks poppers and buzzbaits

6'3" M/XF. If your dealing with heavier lures though, look for a MH/XF

I'd suggest different rods for poppers and spooks than I would buzzbaits. I like a longer stiffer rod for buzzbaits to fish them through cover and pull big fish out of the woods. I use a 7ft M/H for buzzbaits and a 6' 2" medium for poppers and spooks, makes it easier to snap the rod without wearing myself out with that short light rod.

I agree with Bluebasser. I use my spinnerbait rod for buzzbaits and my crankin rod for spooks and poppers.

I like a stiffer rod for buzzbaits and a more mellow rod for all treble hook baits.

What BassClary said! Plus a balance light weight rod around 3.5oz or less would make it easy on the wrist when working the walk-the-dog.
