Bps Bionic Blade?

Featured Replies

Has anybody used this the BPS Bionic Blade rods, They are on sale right now for $59. Is it worth it or should I just spend the extra $30 and get another carbonlite.

I have one of the older Bionic Blades, from 2007ish I believe. Not sure if I'll be much help but it's a nice rod for the money in my opinion. I bought a 6'6" M but it fishes more like a MH. Surprisingly sensitive too. Hopefully someone can chime in on the newer split grip models.

I've got a few of the past years models, too. I don't care for split grips, so I'm not thrilled with that decision. The new reel seats can go, imo. It's a line of rods that I've been moderately happy with when they're on a big sale (and only then), but I can't see myself buying one of these new versions due to these design decisions. In the past they were good enough rods that I could find some excuse to buy one (at 50 bucks or so), but I'd save my money for something else now.

I will have to let you know in a couple days, I have one in route now.

Better rods out there unless you can get it deep discounted.

I have a 5'-6" pistol grip that I bought in '03 to fish off of the bank with. I have never had any issues with it.

I think thats what I am going to do, I guess if I don't like it, I could always have another guest rod.

Thanks for all of the help!
