So, my baitcaster is making a strange noise when I cast it. Its like a screeching noise or something, or a whistle. Maybe its a bearing....I don't know, any suggestions??

I had the sameproblem on my bps pro qualifier. The release button eventually stopped working. I pulled it apart and the plastic peice that engages the button was broke needless to say. But in your case just try a good cleaning/lube.

Screeching noise upon casting is caused by a dry bearing. If the reel is that well used, I'd recommend a deep cleaning and lube.

Yea I was thinking its a bearing, however I just cleaned it 2 days ago and lubed. The reel is only like 3 weeks old. Anyways, I'll give it a try again I guess!!
