Jackall Ammonite Shad

So the other day as I passed by my friend Juan´s tackle shop I stopped by to say hi, Juan sells a lot of soft plastic factory seconds and rejects for dirt cheap, as I looked for something new in all the stuff he sells I saw this relatively large paddle tail grubs about 5" long ( or small soft plastic swimbait ), I got a bag of 5 units for 7 pesos, ain´t gonna go broke for 7 pesos, after a few minutes of chat I left with my purchase and took it home for greater study later. Today as I was surfing the net( work is too darn slow ! ) I discovered what brand and name those baits I got are: Jackall Ammonite Shad and for 7 pesos I can´t complain. But with a new acquisition come some questions.

Anybody has tried them ?

How you rigged them ?

What were your results ?

I´ve seen ICAST videos of it describing what they do and how they do it but no videos of the bait in action like Keitech´s Swing Impact.

It's a paddle tail bait - stick a hook in it, and fish it! B)

I haven't tried it,yet.

Thx !

Exactly what I was looking for, see the bait underwater. For 7 pesos 5 baits I think I´m going to stack up with Juan tomorrow.

Great video, but if you notice at the end the fish being caught are not even being caught on the bait being advertised (the last two appear to be caught on a tube and a jig, respectively). In any event, I think the baits look good and just like any other paddle tail/small swimming worm. I have had more luck, not as a "swim bait," but more of a senko style bait. These worms do have swimming style action, but not quite the action you look for in a casting-style swim bait. But for fishing laydowns, brush piles, docks, or anything of that variety, skip one of these along in the place of a regular senko and hold on.

Ummm yes they were caught on the ammonite shad

He's using it as a jig trailer for a flat-head swim jig... much like fred roumbanis jig and double-diamond swimmer combo..
