Can anyone recommend a book on fishing for smallmouth. I've found some but I'm looking for one specifically with information on big river and resvoir tactics, not small rivers and streams. I'm not sure there's one this specific out there though atleat that I can find. Thanks

I have a book for you, but I'll have to track it down. It is specifically

written for smallmouth fishing on all reservoirs in the Tennessee River

system. I may be at Speedy's cabin or I have lent it out to someone.

I'll find the book and get it to you.

A book that I found pretty good was "Big Book of Bass : Strategies for Catching Largemouth and Smallmouth" by Steve Hauge. There's alot of info including a chapter on locating smallmouth in different types and sizes of lakes, reservoirs and rivers. The electronic version of the book is available online at the Kindle Store.

Kent, that would be great. If you can't find it I don't mind buying it I just can't find what I'm looking for. Do you remember the name by any chance?

Another good read for Smallmouth addicts is Billy Westmoreland's Them Ol' Brown Fish.

Anyone else got any other recommended Smallmouth books to share?

Tim Holschag has a pretty good one...Billy Westmoreland's book is often pricey, if you can even find one.

A bass is a bass is a bass. The same productive tactics that work well in small streams and ponds will also work on big reservoirs and rivers.
