Banjo Minnow 006 model

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has tried the newer model of the banjo minnow....guess it's the 006 model.  I was having trouble sleeping the other night and turned on Versus and saw an infomercial for the banjo minnow.   Im not usually one that believes everything I see on TV but those minnows had really good action and looked great in the water.  I had the older version of the Banjo minnow and caught a lot of fish.

Was wondering if anyone had success stories with the bait or if people just wasted the money getting them.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I won't go near any model of the Banjo Minnows.

If you have had good fishing with them before , get them.

Banjo minnows catch fish, but flukes, sluggos, and bass assassins are better. They cast further, have better action, sink better, and hook fish much better.

i must say the same..

If you want something with a segmented body I've heard many good things about Lake Forks Magic Shad.  A lot cheaper to give them a shot too.

Other than a Berkley worm, the banjo minnow was the first artificial lure I used I ever used. It caught fish, but when I found a pack of Power Slugs, I never dropped it since. There are way better options out there.
